Terms of Service

The short version

• You get a key, you call the API, you stay inside your quota.
• There is one paid plan. New accounts start a free trial from the dashboard. After the trial ends, every call answers 402 until you subscribe.
• We sell the subscription. Stripe processes the payment, so card details never touch our servers.
• This is not the official X API. We do not promise the data will always be there, or always look the same.
• Do not use the API to harass people, break the law, or pretend you are us or X.

Who we are

Probe Uranus (“we”, “us”) operates the website at probeuranus.fun and the API at api.probeuranus.fun, and is the seller of record for every subscription sold through this site. We are not affiliated with X Corp., Google, Stripe, or any of their subsidiaries.

The service

Probe Uranus is a read-only HTTP API for information that is already publicly visible on X: profiles, posts, search results, lists, communities, Spaces, and the like. You authenticate with a Bearer API key created from your account. Plans use per-minute, daily, and monthly quotas. The current plan and limits are on /pricing; the endpoints are on /docs.

We may change, pause, or withdraw any part of the service, including individual endpoints, without notice. X can change or block the sources we read from at any time, and when they do the API will fail or return different data. That is not a breach of these terms.

Accounts

The only way to create an account is Google sign-in. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13. One person or organisation per Google account. You are responsible for whatever happens under that account, including calls made with its key.

We may suspend or delete an account that we reasonably believe is abusing the service, sharing a key, evading a ban, or breaking these terms or the law. Suspended keys stop working immediately.

API keys

Each account gets one key. It is shown once, stored only as a hash, and cannot be recovered — rotate it if you lose it. The key is secret. Treat it like a password. If it leaks, rotate it. You may not sell, sublicense, or publish a live key.

Trial and billing

New accounts start a free trial of the Pro plan. The current trial length is shown on /pricing and at checkout. A card is required to start the trial. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged. After it ends, or after a paid subscription lapses, the key stays valid but every call is refused with HTTP 402 until you subscribe again.

Paid plans are sold by us and billed monthly. Stripe is our payment processor and handles the card transaction under its own terms, but your contract for the service is with Probe Uranus. Prices on /pricing are the current offer and can change for future periods; a change does not rewrite a period you have already paid for.

Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of sales tax and VAT. Where we are required to collect tax on a sale, it is calculated and shown at checkout and added to the amount charged.

Complimentary (gifted) plans are granted at our discretion, can be withdrawn at any time, and do not create an obligation to keep giving you the service for free.

Cancel from the dashboard billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. We do not prorate unused time on a period you already paid for, and paid periods are non-refundable, except where the law where you live gives you a refund right or we agree otherwise in writing. The free trial exists so you can decide before any money moves. Billing questions go to support@probeuranus.fun.

Acceptable use

You will not:

• Use the API to break the law, or to help someone else break it.
• Use it to stalk, harass, dox, or threaten anyone.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or the 402 subscription gate — extra keys, shared keys, or rotating accounts to stretch a trial all count.
• Resell raw API access as if you were us, or imply that Probe Uranus is the official X API or is endorsed by X or Google.
• Attack, scrape, or overload our site or API beyond the documented endpoints and your quota.
• Use the service if we have banned you, or on behalf of someone we have banned.

If you store or republish data you pulled through the API, you are the controller of that copy. You must handle it lawfully, including under X’s terms and any privacy law that applies to you. See the Privacy Policy for what we ourselves hold.

Intellectual property

The site, the API, the docs, and the Probe Uranus name are ours. Public X content returned by the API remains whoever posted it. These terms do not give you any licence to our marks, or to X’s.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. In particular we do not warrant that any given X account, post, or endpoint will keep working.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you actually paid us for that period, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.

Some places do not allow these limits. In those places they apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the API, your handling of data you collect through it, or your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and for anything material we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date is acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using it and cancel.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the United States have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere to stop misuse of the service or our marks.
